We’re hiring a Business Development Rainmaker.

Lentz Engineering is hiring a Business Development Rainmaker to lead our growth strategy across Houston’s public and private infrastructure markets. As a certified DBE, MBE, HUB, and VOSB civil engineering firm, we’re looking for a strategic partner who can convert relationships into contracts.

About the Role:

  • Win new public and private contracts—targeting municipalities, drainage districts, TxDOT, and land developers

  • Strengthen relationships with primes, engineering firms, and public agencies

  • Identify and pursue RFQs, teaming opportunities, and on-call contracts

  • Lead and support SOQs, proposals, and pre-bid efforts

  • Represent Lentz at networking events, pre-submittal meetings, and industry conferences

  • Help shape our future services

This is a key leadership hire—and we’re ready to support you with the tools, team, and platform to thrive.

What You Bring:

  • 10–15 years in civil engineering, including 5+ years in business development or project management

  • Track record of securing contracts—ideally $1M+ in annual wins

  • Active network of contacts with public-sector clients, primes, or agencies (City of Houston, TxDOT, MUDs, etc.)

  • A reputation for being a connector — someone who builds trust and opens doors

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred but Not required
